K T Mathew

Mr K T Mathew has more than forty years’ experience in consulting and training & development. Having worked in a large statutory board as well as in an NGO, Mathew has worked closely with local as well as international agencies and consultants specialised in various fields. He is currently the Managing Consultant of ApexPort Consultancy (a consulting practice involved with Port Operations and Management).

In the field of Industrial Relations (IR), Mathew has in-depth knowledge of the IR system as well as the nuances in the practice of IR in Singapore. He is also well versed with differences in IR practices across different sectors of the economy.

His areas of interest in IR include:

• Improving Labour-Management Relations
• Negotiations related to IR issues
• Getting new Management onboard with IR System and Practices in Singapore
• Industrial Relations Laws and relevant Regulations
• Handling IR disputes
• Conducting Disciplinary Inquiry

Mathew has a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from the RMIT University, Australia. Apart from that he is a certified MBTI Administrator (Steps 1 & II), a certified OJT Manager, and has a Diploma in Maritime Studies (Shipping Management) from the Singapore Polytechnic. He is a member of the American Society for Training and Development.
